Originally from Austria, Leonhard started DJing in 2004 in Zurich/Switzerland and has since become one of the major DJs in that community. He is also a resident DJ in Zurich.
As a Tango DJ for more than a decade Leonhard has a rich knowledge of the music and its history. He likes to play a wide range of different tastes of popular as well as unknown traditional Tangos, and he is also capable of playing nice Tandas of Tango nuevo if audiences request. His Tandas are reliable in terms of style (era, vocal/instrumental, orchestra). Being an experienced dancer as well, he is interested deeply in the effect the music has on the dancers and uses this in the Milonga to create the right atmosphere for the moment. Leonhard has been DJing outside of Switzerland in many destinations like Barcelona, Kiev, Moscow, Naples, Nürnberg, St. Petersburg, Taipei and Vienna.
Ursprünglich aus Österreich begann Leonhard seine TJ-Laufbahn 2004 in Zürich und zählt mittlerweile zum TJ-Kern dieser Tangoszene: Er ist auch Resident-TJ in Zürich. Da er seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt auflegt, hat er sich eine fundierte Kenntnis über die Musik und ihre Geschichte erarbeitet. Er liebt es daher, ein breites Spektrum sowohl populärer als auch unbekannter traditioneller Tangos zu spielen, legt aber auch gerne stimmige Nuevo-Tandas auf, wenn das Publikum es wünscht. Seine Tandas sind verlässlich in bezug auf Stil (Ära, vokal/instrumental, Orchester). Als erfahrener Tänzer studiert er die Effekte der Musik auf die Tänzerinnen und Tänzer genau und verwendet sie, um die Atmosphäre in der Milonga zu steuern. Leonhard hat ausserhalb der Schweiz auf vielen Milongas, Festivals und Marathons aufgelegt, u.a. in Barcelona, Kiev, Moskau, Neapel, Nürnberg, Sankt Petersburg, Taipeh und Wien.
