16:00-17:20 - "Repeat it!" Playing with the Rhythm.
Ideas for playing with the rhythm based on repetitions of the same steps/figures, fresh from Slava's repertoire.
Nothing super-complicated technically, though some of them are not that obvious!
Another opportunity to work on our habits, especially for the followers. We will have a nice chance to practice connection and “to be in a moment”.
It’s a set of very nice ideas "from a box" which can be tried at the milonga on the same day.
17:30-18:50 - „And-One..". Breaking the symmetry. The power of the “weak” beat (off-beat).
The class is about marking the accents while paying attention and connecting to the music.
(and of course about habits and working on them :)).
A part of the class we will focus on working with “pure” off-beat and another (maybe a bit bigger) part – with “And-One” pattern (listening to different examples in the music of different orchestras).
Questions to the class – “what?”, “how?” and “what for do we need it?”..
